Snow Storm in Colts Neck, NJ Causing Roof/Water Damage

It’s almost that time again in the Northeast.  Mother Nature has been very mild on us the last few years, so we may have forgotten about being storm prepared.

Here are a few before, during and after the storm tips.

Before:

1. Have an emergency communication plan in place prior to the storm.
2. Determine your greatest rick potential: loss of heat, frozen pipes and/or loss of success due to snow & ice.
3. Clean & inspect all heating equipment.

During:

1. Keep informed by local news & weather channels for any storm related issues.
2. Keep driveways, walkways & doorways clear of snow & ice.
3. Have a list of names & phone numbers for pertinent people in case of emergency i.e. disaster recovery provider, heating contractor etc.

After:

1. Keep all employees informed about office closing or hours of operation changes.
2. Clear snow away safely to avoid flooding & icing.
3. Check the building for any damages.
