Winter is upon us and if you are an owner of a commercial building or a property manager here are some tips to keep things safe in the winter.
- Inspect the heating systems. There could be hidden danger here. Flues should be checked for carbon buildup, heat exchangers should be checked for cracks, and brush boiler tubes. These are just a few examples.
- Inspect air filters.
- Clean the gutters. If there is a build up leaves and branched this can cause damage to roof, trim or siding.
- Repair sidewalks.
- Make sure to have salt or deicer on hand so when you do get snow or ice you can prevent falls.
These are just some tips to help during the winter months. But sometimes accidents or problems occur and if you need a cleanup from a fire, water damage or mold cleanup give us a call.
