Mold in the basement caused by lack of power to the sump pumps.

This mold loss was a result of loss of power during Super Storm Sandy and caused the sump pumps not to work of a couple weeks.   The homeowners did their own water mitigation on this loss and as a result it was not dried out properly and cause mold.  SERVPRO of Marlboro/Tinton Falls received a call from the homeowner’s son who was referred to us by a realtor whom we performed mold remediation for her own home.  The buyers were friends of the family and the seller wanted to ensure the house was safe since the buyers had children.  Both pre and post testing of our remediation was performed by an environmental company for clearance.  Once we pasted the post test, we were able to have the sellers proceed with the sale of the house and not be worried about mold.
